On March 1, a trademark application was filed for "Space Mountain Earthrise" as the name of the new Space Mountain that will be part of the renewal project for Tokyo Disneyland's popular "Space Mountain" attraction. The attraction is scheduled to reopen in 2027 and is expected to add new thrills and excitement to the current indoor roller coaster-type attraction.
The phrase "Earthrise" means "Earthrise" and is derived from the most influential environmental photograph ever taken of the Earth. The phrase matches the concept of the attraction to represent a future where space and earth are connected and humanity and nature are in harmony in the Tomorrowland plaza. Perhaps the attraction experience will include the ability to see this "Earthrise" during the attraction experience?
